Peace out everyone and thanks! i think i found a solution, under first person camera advanced settings, turn horizontal and vertical turning bonus to zero. then just turn up the base sensitivity. i also set the response curve to raw. This needs to be higher. The "turning bonus" is what makes the controls feel so bad.
